Shipton Bellinger Village Centre is the data controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is effective from May2018, and contact details are given below.
Why we collect information about you.
The Village Centre Booking System keeps records about you.
These records help ensure that you receive the best possible attention from us. They may be written down (manual records) or held on a computer.
The records may include basic details about you, such as name, address, telephone number(s) and email address(es)
How your records are kept.
1 Your records are kept on a private computer administered by the booking clerk. Access to these are password protected, known only to the Booking Clerk and Chairman
2 Minimum records are kept on a web based booking calendar, but these are not visible to public viewers. The records held can only be viewed by the Booking Clerk and the Chairman, and accessed only by password.
3 Should the holder of either posts be changed then the passwords will be changed.
4 Further financial records are kept by the Treasurer on a separate computer, for the purpose of maintaining our own accounts. These too are protected by password and only accessible by the Treasurer.

Your records are used to administer the booking procedure to ensure correct communications with you during the booking process.

The Data Protection Act 1998, and the new General Data Protection Regulation 2018, allows you to find out what information about you is held on computer and in certain manual records. This is known as ‘right of subject access’ and it applies to your booking records.
If you would like to see your records, you should make a written request to the Booking Clerk.
How we keep your records confidential.
Everyone working for the Village Centre has a legal duty to keep information about you confidential. We will not disclose your information to third parties without your permission. Our guiding principle is that we are holding your records in strict confidence, and data will be deleted when it is no longer required.
